A Prayer for the Heart

This necklace was especially creted by Kelly Alexandra for an American Heart Association fund-raiser. The necklace is composed of garnet glass, semi-precious garnet spacers, Czech Glass hearts with Arabic designs, and Mexican Milagros. Kelly's hope is to represent many different cultures from around the world along with their united prayer and hope of finding a cure for heart disease.

Mexican Milagros and their symbolism

Heart :: represents the love one has for another, or the cares of worries over a heart condition.
Flaming Heart :: a healthy heart, bringing passion to your life, love you have for another.
Hands :: often speaks to craftsman and artists as a talisman of their artwork and their ability to continue to work.
Praying Woman :: one's mother, wife, or any other woman who is faithful and fervent.
Praying Man :: one's father, husband, or any other man who is faithful and fervent.
